Submission Guidelines
What is Strength? In a 1000-word persuasive essay, discuss the nature of strength in the 21st century.
Eligibility: All active Hofstra undergraduates are encouraged to submit an essay.
How to Send Us Your Work: Send us your submissions via email to: WSRwritingcontest@Hofstra.edu. Please include your name, 700#, class standing, and major.
Formatting Your Manuscript: All essays should be 1,000 words and documented. You must use MLA style. Please copy and paste your document directly into your email; do not send your essay as an attachment. Each essay will then be uploaded to a Blackboard site via Turnitin.
Technical Difficulties: If you encounter technical difficulties, please call the help desk at 463-7777.
Timing: The contest begins on Monday, December 7, 2020 and ends on Friday, April 30, 2021 at midnight.
Prizes: Winners will be announced in May 2021. Details to follow.
We will offer three prizes of $100 each for the top three submissions.
